Eating in Bristol

Bristol has an enormous and very well known range of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all pleasures and budgets with a rich diversity on offer. Many of them can be found around the Harbourside and The West End's Park Street and Whiteladies Road but many of Bristol's best restaurants are situated in the nearby suburbs.

The whole scene has exploded over the last few years, and the healthy competition between venues has seen places become slicker.

Most of the city's drinking is done in traditional-style pubs and few trendy venues. There are plenty of large pubs around the harbour such as E-Shed, Torches and Brannigans, but if you want a full-on, noisy night-out drinking head to the city centre. Other popular area for drinking is Corn Street where you will find the wall-to-wall bars and pubs.
