England Recipes: Clapshot



Clapshot
Ingredients:
- 450g/1lb Potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 450g/1lb Turnips, peeled and cut into chunks
- Salt and Black Pepper
- 25g/1oz Butter
- 2 tbsp fresh Chives, chopped
Preparation:
1. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the potatoes and turnips and cook for 20 minutes or until tender. Drain well then mash together until smooth.
2. Add the butter, chives salt and pepper and beat with a wooden spoon. Serve hot.
